HHMS 2023 Christmas Concert!
Did you know that playing music in a band can have an amazing impact on children’s mental health? It helps them feel like they belong and promotes teamwork, self-expression, discipline, confidence, cultural awareness, and has therapeutic effects on mental health. Plus, joining a band can give kids a sense of structure and routine, accomplishment, and encourage them to pursue their passions and dreams.
So, why not encourage your child to join a band today?
These are one-hour after-school live music group workshops where children play pop/rock songs in a band format.
We teach the children how to play together in a band situation focusing on 1 or 2 songs per term and then twice yearly they get to perform at concerts put on by us in front of friends and family. We’ve seen some fantastic results with children who might otherwise be shy developing a confidence and love for music they might not have gained! We organise the groups according to age and ability.
